MUSIC

This is the music I listened to while writing the shooting script. It promotes a jump-cutty editorial style which I like for this piece. We are not shooting in a lot of different places so it will be nice to vary the shots and keep the pace moving with cuts. It also gives the feeling of the passage of time as Bob moves through the day. Some of the music is a bit heavy but, maybe to much, but I think it weighs in nicely with the seriousness of the condition, particularly when the KOL speaks.

This music was written and performed by an SF based composer named Isiah Flores.

ART DEPARTMENT

SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ART DEPARTMENT CHOICES

Desperate Housewives
is the look we are going for.
We like the color and warmth of the sets and set dressing. We are going to cast our locations accordingly, but we'll need to supplement to refine the look.

Below are some reference pics from Desperate Housewives.
Walls are plush, painted, warm. The spaces a clean and not cluttered. Everything is styled.

ART DEPARTMENT CHOICES
Here is what Art Director Mikey Pitchers has put together:

BOB'S BEDROOM

We will use existing furniture. Taking the art off the wall and adding a headboard. The existing sheets are too dark and will be replaced with lighter ones that fit into the color pallet of the room. Decorative pillows will be removed and there will be 4 reg size pillows with cases to match sheets. On table next to bed will be an alarm clock – late night hour on it to give more sense of time and awake ness of wife-also, some framed family photos, and her lamp can be on low and maybe she is reading, working on a cross-word puzzle, or knitting since she can’t sleep.

THE OFFICE

We will use existing desk and chairs, adding bookcase and file cabinets. Desk will have phone, monitor & keyboard, lamp, file trays, adding machine, and lots of paperwork. Bookcase will have lots of corporate binders, accounting books, and some antique accounting machines.

Inspiration for messiness...

Props we've picked out.

CPAP Masks the Tech will show Bob
We will capture Bob trying on as many variations as possible.

LOCATIONS

Locations List :
Auditorium - KOL Presentation & Interview - Shoot date pushed
Joe's Office
Joe's Home
Doctor's Office
Sleep Center

DOCTOR'S EXAM ROOM
I am thinking along the same lines for the doctor's office as I am for Joe's office. I'd like avoid a white walled room if possible. I am imagining a smaller town doctor's office that might not be set up in a new building. Again, this all depends on where franks office lands.

Note: The doctor's office is now an exam room
We propose stripping this room of all furniture and accents and dressing it like a nice exam room. It will look much better on camera than a white walled, clinical exam room. Its believable because the patient isn't necessarily at a hospital, but rather a doctor's office exam room.

The option for the doctor's office.

BOB'S HOME
Where Bob snores:

We will add a headboard

Where we will interview Bob and Joan:

BOB'S HOME EXTERIOR

BOB'S OFFICE SPACE
Where Bob will drink coffee.

Conference room will double as Bob's office (if it is available).

Bob's office if the conference room is unavailable

SLEEP CENTER

We are going to wrap the headboard in fabric and warm up the room with different bedside furniture.
